How the Referral Process Works

California Rules of Professional Conduct permit fee sharing between attorneys with client consent. I handle all referral arrangements in full compliance with Rule 1.5.4 — written fee-sharing agreements, full client disclosure, and proper documentation throughout.

  • Step 1 — Call or email me with a brief summary of the case
  • Step 2 — I evaluate it promptly and give you an honest assessment
  • Step 3 — If I accept, we execute a written referral agreement per State Bar requirements
  • Step 4 — I keep you informed throughout the case
  • Step 5 — At resolution, the referral fee is paid per our agreement

I am a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (SFTLA) and serve on its Board of Directors and Education Committee. I am a preferred referral for serious personal injury and catastrophic injury cases among San Francisco trial attorneys.
